Upcoming Berlin CSD Board of Education Meeting, School Budget Vote, and BOE Election Reminders:

Please note there has been a location change for our final Board of Education meeting before the Budget and BOE Election on May 19, 2026. This Board of Education Round Table Meeting will now be held in the auditorium at the Berlin Middle High School, not the elementary school as previously communicated.

Budget Vote Day on 5/19/26 will be a HALF DAY for BES ONLY.

BCSD School Board Member Elections:

There are two seats up for election for three-year terms (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2029).

Voters may vote for a candidate whose name is printed on the ballot by filling in the bubble area next to the name of the candidate or voters may also vote for a person (or persons) whose name is not printed on the ballot by writing such person(s) name(s) in the blank spaces provided for write-in candidates.

Current board member Frank Zwack is running for re-election for one of the open seats.

In an effort to maintain transparency and keep our school community informed, the district is introducing 'Budget Tuesdays' in each of our municipalities, beginning April 14, 2026, and concluding May 5, 2026, in addition to our regular budget presentations.

These information sessions, hosted by Berlin CSD Superintendent Mr. Ken Rizzo and Business Official Ms. Colleen Mills, aim to provide the community with comprehensive information and address any questions, so community members can make the most informed decision possible on school budget voting day, May 19, 2026.

April 14, 2026 - Petersburgh Fire House, 6:00 pm
April 21, 2026 - BMHS Auditorium, 6:30 pm - Q&A session before BOE Presentation
April 28, 2026 - Stephentown Library, 6:00 pm

In an effort to maintain transparency and keep our school community informed, the district is introducing 'Budget Tuesdays' in each of our municipalities, beginning April 14, 2026, and concluding May 5, 2026, in addition to our regular budget presentations.

Are you interested in running for the Berlin Central School District Board of Education? Two seats will be up for election on May 19, 2026. The top two vote-getters will serve three-year terms which begins July 1, of the year and ends June 30, of the ending term. Interested in running? The deadline for this year’s nominating petitions is Monday, April 20, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
